5 of 5 BenQ 20" 16:9 Monitor Saturday, February 10, 2007
John from Durham NC
The BenQ monitor came with a DVI cable and my video card has an analogue and a digital connector so I am able to run two monitors. The BenQ is superior to my other monitor (Mitsubishi Diamond Pro21TX) and I run it at the recommended resolution. I am very pleased with the monitor and would recommend it to others. I should mention that Buy.com got the monitor to me very quickly so I am very pleased with their service and response.

5 of 5 BenQ 20" wide monitor is GREAT! Friday, February 09, 2007

I bought this monitor about a month ago and I love it. It's an impressive size and I love the digital quality. This was a great value.

5 of 5 Bang for the buck Friday, February 09, 2007
C. Hanford from Columbia, Missouri
Overall, this monitor is stunning for the price. The resolution is crisp, and the display is amazingly bright (so much so that it is better viewed at less than 50%). Max resolution is acceptable, and beyond that the only complaint is about the controls on the side. I'm only complaining because my old Viewsonic CRT had just as powerful of controls with a simpler navigation system. Beyond that, good buy.

5 of 5 Very impressive unit Tuesday, November 14, 2006
A Customer from Skokie, IL
After researching several other LCD monitors, I settled on this one, primarily due to the good price for the size. I am highly impressed by the overall quality, there are no dead pixels and the response time is great. I used to think that nothing could beat my old 19" flat-tube CRT in terms of crispness and clarity, but this BenQ is outstanding. Do not hesitate to get this monitor, the brand is definitely up-and-coming, and at the buy.com price, it's hard to beat. :-)

5 of 5 Great Widescreen Monday, October 23, 2006
Dan from Fort Collins, CO
This is the first LCD monitor I've owned, and I must say I am quite impressed. Besides all the glories of brightness, the widescreen, and sharpness this monitor surprised me pleasantly in its ease of use. After I ordered it I found I didn't have the native 1680 x 1050 resolution on my video card, no problem, the monitor is plug and play, hence the driver is built right in.

4 of 5 Great value for money Thursday, October 19, 2006
A Customer from Providence, RI
This is quite frankly a very nice looking monitor-it is an LCD-therefore very light and slim-the colors are brilliant and the size is great-the only negative I think is the fact that the base is flimsy and you can not adjust the angle of the screen-so it is very static! I have had this for less than a month and use it extensively-so far no problems with performance-I am very pleased with it.

5 of 5 Very Satisfied Thursday, October 05, 2006
A Customer from Columbus, OH
The BenQ FP202W was my choice for an upgrade from a previous monitor since it was an extremely good economical choice as well as a monitor that was lauded as reliable. It is marketed as a high performance gaming monitor, and though those claims do not ring as true as they did when it was first introduced into the market, I have found it to be crisp and clear during whatever applications I run. It performs very well during movies, high speed games (Counterstrike, Warcraft, Doom3, etc.), and while browsing the internet/work tasks. There are several modes, and the standard settings definitely will require tweaking, but after the initial tweaking, the 4 offered settings allow you to rapidly switch between the settings you need. I read many reviews complaining about the button setup, but unless you are some sort of dunce, it is very easy to learn to use. I have noticed reduced brightness near the edges, which is something other reviewers have also complained about, but again, this might be due to the somewhat restrictive viewing angle of the monitor. Besides those minor gripes, however, this is an exceptional monitor for those that want the benefits a widescreen monitor can offer. For the price, the sleekness and utility of this monitor simply can't be beat!

5 of 5 Great monitor for the price! Tuesday, October 03, 2006
Carlos from Los Angeles
I was going to purchase one of the other named brand higher price monitors because I was skeptical of the name BenQ. It turns out that BenQ supplies Dell with it's monitors so I have no worries about the quality. The monitors controls are somewhat awkward to use because they are located on side but once it is setup you wont need to mess with them again. The monitor has some presets that you can use or custom ones you can create, it's plenty bright and the widescreen makes it easy to view two documents at once. Recommended

5 of 5 Great product! Sunday, October 01, 2006
Pete from Fishkill, NY
I've purchased a lot form Buy.Com and this is the first time I've taken the time to write a review...that alone speaks volumes. As always processing and shipping were quick - ordered Thursday, here Saturday. Pulled it out of the box and installed it. WXP SP2 and my video card didn't have a problem with it. No dead pixels as a side note since others have commented on the subject. While the monitor doesn't move vertically, it does indeed pivot which is all I have ever needed or wanted. After reading some reviews I was under the impression it was completely fixed and it is not. Great product for the money!

5 of 5 Get This Monitor! Wednesday, September 20, 2006
Jermaine from Bronx, NY
I ordered my monitor, which was my first LCD, on a Tuesday night. It arrived Thursday afternoon. It's easy to hook-up, and the auto-adjust took any pains away from me. It works fine, and gave me a lot more room on my desk. If you want a good monitor at a great price, get BenQ @ Buy.com.

5 of 5 Excellent monitor for the $$ Tuesday, September 19, 2006
Bev from Phoenix, AZ
I purchased this monitor about 2 weeks ago after spending several months reviewing everything available. This monitor is sleek, easy to use, and has excellent color/viewing area. We got the widescreen for my husband to play video games and for my daily working needs. WE LOVE IT!!!

5 of 5 WOW! I was amazed! Tuesday, September 19, 2006
Walter from Sellersburg, IN
Like others, I've bought monitors that were supposed to be "Great" deals and were not. But this was my best deal yet. I figured, if this monitor isn't that great, I'll pass it along to my business partner. However, I'm so pleased with this monitor I'm thinking of getting another one. I work in the video business and I must have clear, crisp monitors for doing my editing. I've had monitors that were fine on most things you use a computer for but just didn't give me the quality I needed. I was also concerned that the widescreen would just stretch the picture. Well, this BenQ has excellent clairty and the screen isn't just stretched out. It looks very nice. No Dead Pixels. Perfect to use right out of the box. The buttons being on the side are only a matter of getting used to and it does make the front of the monitor much cleaner looking.

4 of 5 Good Monitor. Great Price Tuesday, September 19, 2006
A Customer from Grand Rapids, MI
This monitor's picture quality is comparable to similar monitors costing almost twice as much. Mine arrived with 2 dead pixels, which I cannot even notice. The viewing angle is great side-to-side, but isn't so great vertically. However, this never bothers me since I don't change my vertical viewing angle regularly. There is only DVI & VGA inputs, so the monitor cannot be used with other external inputs (like the more expensive Dell monitors). This was not a deal breaker and I knew it ahead of time. Overall -- highly recommended. The price to performance ratio is great, and it's awesome to use a widescreen monitor!

5 of 5 My first LCD monitor Friday, September 15, 2006
John from Boca Raton, FL
There isn't much to say other than "it works." I'm very happy with picture quality using my mid-range graphics card's digital output. Make sure yours supports the native resolution of this LCD and get ready to adjust the font size as it gets tiny at 1680x1050. Bottom line: I'm no graphics expert but I'm very happy with my purchase. I should also add that I was very happy to see that it arrived with no dead pixels.

5 of 5 Great Monitor, Great Value Tuesday, September 12, 2006
Glen from Ava, MO 65608
I bought this monitor for my 15-year-old, hard to please, hard core gaming son. He is very pleased with this monitor, and it didn't break the bank either! His GeForce 7900GT's supported this resolution just fine and it had no dead pixels. Good contrast ratio and response time for the money.

5 of 5 Amazing picture Thursday, August 17, 2006
Reinkaos from Boston,MA
I bought this monitor mainly to play world of warcraft and the picture is amazing. I read alot of reviews that said the image faded while looking at it from a angle which I found not to be true, even at an angle the picture quilty is still good. And for the price you can't beat this monitor. I never heard of Benq but so far I am happy with this product.

5 of 5 Im happy with it. Tuesday, August 15, 2006
A Customer from ny ny
I took a chance and purchased this moniter, rather than purchasing a moniter from a more well no company. I am overall very pleased with my decision and would do it again in a heartbeat. I have not experienced any ghosting whil whatching movies or while gaming. The only con I have experienced is the bottons being on the side. I have however became a liltle more comfortable with them, but I am still guesing as to which botton I am pressing. All in all good 20.1" widescreen.

5 of 5 Awesome monitor! Tuesday, July 18, 2006
Ozzie from Midwest, USA
Firstly, the box arrived undamaged and the monitor is in perfect working condition with no dead pixels or other problems. It took about a week to get here after I placed the order, but the shipping was free so I guess there is no reason to complain. The monitor itself is a simple but sleek design, allowing for maximum screen coverage with less than an inch border around it. The monitor is not gaudy or intrusive and should easily blend in with any computer set-up. The images are crisp and vibrant, with plenty of depth and brightness. The 8ms response time is very nice and I have noticed no visible tearing like I saw with my old 17" LCD. Though I am not a hardcore gamer I do use this monitor to play fps, rpg, etc. Counterstrike worked flawlessly and already had the native 16:10 support for this screen, as did Oblivion, EQ and others. Overall, I would highly reccomend this monitor for anyone shopping for a new LCD. I did my best to compare this one to the Sceptre, Acer and Samsung in the same pricerange and the BenQ seemed to be the most consistently given positive reviews.

5 of 5 Almost perfect Thursday, July 06, 2006
A Customer from Friendswood, TX
I've been looking at LCD's for over two years. Actually purchased and returned two I was not happy with. I have had this monitor for a week now and can say I love it. Very good image quality and color. A little bright out of the box but easy to adjust. Text is sharp and easy to read. No ghosting at all in games (UT4, DOOM3, BF2). Video & movies look great. Adjustment buttons on side a little diffucult to use, but once it's set - who cares. This gives monitor face a very clean look. Stand does not adjust up & down. There is a good aftermarket stand available if this is a problem. Great price and shipping from Buy.com was quick - three days.
